Day 0 (Thu) · October 30, 2025
- 17:00 – 18:15 · Reception
Venue: Aurora Premium — A Lifestyle Hotel, Hanoi
VTICD 2025 brings together researchers, students, and professionals to advance quantum simulation methods and computational materials design. Jointly organized by National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (Taiwan, R.O.C.) and Hanoi National University of Education (Viet Nam), the workshop features expert-guided lectures, hands-on tutorials, and collaborative discussions. This edition also highlights WannierBSE, a practical workflow for excitonic and optical-spectrum calculations based on Wannier-function interpolation and the Bethe–Salpeter equation, with a live demonstration and Q&A.

WannierBSE is an efficient computational package for solving the Bethe–Salpeter equation (BSE) for neutral excitons in 2D materials within the Wannier tight‑binding (WTB) framework, implemented in the MATLAB (single‑machine) and C++ (parallel) languages.
It constructs electron–hole Coulomb kernels using efficient numerical integration and cubic‑spline interpolation for speed and precision. Based on first‑principles band structures, Bloch states, and non‑local dielectric functions (from DFT+GW or macroscopic electromagnetic theory), WannierBSE enables multiscale simulations of excitonic spectra, dipoles, and light–matter interactions in hybrid 2D materials under complex dielectric environments.
